Foster Care
By opening your home to a pigeon in need, you provide a safe, nurturing environment for birds that require special care, rehabilitation, or socialisation before they are ready for adoption. Foster volunteers give these pigeons the chance to heal, adjust, and thrive in a supportive setting.
We can supply any necessary equipment and cover the veterinary care, so volunteers can focus on helping the birds. The more foster homes we have, the more pigeons we can rescue and give the second chance they deserve.
No prior experience is necessary, just patience, compassion, and a willingness to help.

Transport
Transport volunteers are vital to Perth Pigeon Rescue, ensuring pigeons reach safety, receive medical care, and find their forever homes.
Many of the birds we rescue require urgent transportation, whether it’s moving them from a local rescue centre, collecting them from members of the public, or delivering them to their new adoptive families.
We are in desperate need of transport support in the Northern Perth suburbs, as most of our current volunteers are located in the Southern suburbs.
